February 21, 2015 Ateneo de Manila University

Last year's TEDx theme was called "Project I", a theme that was conceptualized with the idea of redemption for the selfie generation. Wanting to show that there is more to us than our idea of ourselves as just individuals, our theme this year shows that there is infinite value in the "we," that in our shared history, our shared characteristic as humans, we are able to re-acknowledge our shared selves and celebrate them; an interconnectivity.

This year's theme seeks to emphasize the value of remembering that we are together as people, that we share the very fundamental characteristic of being human, and that the value stretches on to the future where we continue to live in a society that looks out for each other and works together to create a vastly improving and dynamic home for everyone that is geared towards building the nation.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
